Elbrus – my schedule

The schedule for my trip is listed below, and I will try to update you to let you know how I’m doing and where I am!
Wish me luck everyone … I’m off to Russia!

July 2nd: Flight from Tel Aviv, Israel to Moscow, Russia.

July 3rd and 4th: Moscow

July 5th (DAY 1): Flight from Moscow to the Mineralnye-Vody airport in southern Russia and travel to the Elbrus area.

July 6th (DAY 2): Start our ascent to Cheget Mountain.

July 7th (DAY 3): Acclimatization hike and stay in the Barrel Huts on the slopes of Mt Elbrus!

July 8th (DAY 4): Acclimatization hike.

July 9th (DAY 5): SUMMIT DAY if weather is permitting. We will leave camp at 3AM to make it to the summit by daylight. Then we descend to base camp.

July 10th (DAY 6): This is a reserve day for the summit attempt in case of bad weather, or if all goes well and we summit the day before, we will descend to the Baksan Valley.

July 11th (DAY 7): Assuming we have a DAY 5 summit day, we will be in town and have a free day for hiking or shopping.

July 12th (DAY 8): Drive back to the Mineralyne-Vody airport and flight back to Moscow.

July 13th: Travel back :)

Sooo happy to be on my way to Elbrus :)
